- Summary
- Description: Letter from Jack Klann, U.S.S. Vulcan, to Mr. and Mrs. A. Klann, Detroit, Michigan. Jack writes that he got two letters from Betty; "with a girl like Betty you really have to take your time because she is one that is going to be sure of something before she does it." Mentions hometown folks. The band practiced together for the first time in three weeks; "I was actually surprised at how they sounded." Busy in the shop. Got in trouble for sleeping late and having too-long hair, so he is confined to the ship for a week and had to get a haircut.
