Box containing a magic lantern, chimney, burner, coil of wick, lens-piece and snuffer. At either side of the box are two racks with twelve lantern slides - people, animals and views. There are also three separate slides, wrapped in tissue, inside the box. The box is decorated and on the top is a picture of a family enjoying a magic lantern show using the apparatus within.
