Punctuated by Béjart's narration of his life story, his magical staging of The Nutcracker is an enchanting and enchanted autobiography. Tchaikovsky's score is augmented with popular accordion music performed on-stage by the legendary Yvette Horner. Béjart Ballet Lausanne recorded the work at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
