Summary:
Panama is located in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Its location on the Isthmus of Panama is strategic, controlling the Panama Canal and the Colón Free Trade Zone (largest free port in the Americas). Panama has long held an important position in international shipping, finance, entrepot trade and other fields. In 2017, Panama announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with China, our crew visits Panama on the occasion of the opening of the Chinese Embassy in there. The programme illustrates the origins and development of the diplomatic relation between China and Panama. We went into the upscale communities as well as the poor communities in Panama to understand the situation and challenges that country faces. In addition, we look for the future of the diplomatic relation.
