- The costs of damages caused by extreme weather events, among which floods are a major category, are showing a rapid upward trend, both globally and in Europe. Scope and extremity of flood episodes point to the need to build a comprehensive proposal including the completion of flood protection measures in areas exposed to flood risk. The aim of flood risk management is to present flood protection measures.
