- Summary:
- As the limits of classical computing are reached, there grows a need for resilient and reliable quantum computing systems. The relatively volatile nature of contemporary physical qubit implementations requires robust software error correction schemes in the near term. In this thesis, methods of quantifying various sources of quantum error are explored, and this is followed by a suggested method of local error mitigation using rotation gate correction along with further suggestion for crosstalk quantification and correction.
