Dated: Hartford, January 1, 1796. Generally attributed to Lemuel Hopkins, the Hartford poet. Presumably printed late in 1795 by Barzillai Hudson and George Goodwin, printers of the Connecticut courant, for distribution on or about New Year's Day.
