- Note:
- Hutchins died in 1782, and the calculator of the present almanac is Abraham Shoemaker, who is named in Greenleaf's New-York, Connecticut, & New Jersey almanack for 1801 (p. [3]) as the author of its own calendar pages. The calculations in Hutchins for the ephemeris and the rising and setting of the sun and moon, and the astronomical notes (with some omissions), duplicate those in Greenleaf. In Hutchins the clock equations and the sun's declination are abbreviated and given in notes rather than in columns, and the ephemeris is on one page rather than distributed through the calendar pages as in Greenleaf.
