Advertisement includes an ad for paper doll Series no. 1 listing ten dolls; the earliest extant McLoughlin publisher's catalog (1867) lists 16 dolls in Series no. 1. Wrapper printed in color; doll and outfits hand-colored under the direction of the publisher. "Directions for making."--p. [2-3] of wrapper. "McLoughlin Bros., 30 Beekman Street, N.Y.
