Includes details relating the three facilities of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Brain Research in Munich, Dillenburg and Göttingen, details about staff sizes and the different types of head injuries possible. For example, it is noted that during the war Dr. Spatz and his associates studied 3,338 brains from Luftwaffe sources; 1,982 were closed blunt injuries, 1,356 open wounds, such as gunshot wounds and wounds from high explosive missiles, demonstrating the scale of their studies.
