It contains a history of the development of the monument landscape based on the previously published Historic Resource Study for Muir Woods National Monument; documentation of existing conditions; and analysis and evaluation of the landscape's historic significance; and treatment recommendations that addresses preservation of the cultural landscape. The report is amply illustrated with historic and existing photographs, and contains 15 illustrated maps depicting the landscape at different points in history"--
