- Thermodynamic PVT calculations can be made for gases with this Excel workbook using the Redlich-Kwong equation of state. There are three worksheets. One worksheet calculates the gas molar volume and density for specified gas pressure and temperature. The second worksheet calculates the gas pressure for specified gas temperature and molar density and the third worksheet calculates the gas temperature for specified gas pressure and molar density. Calculations can be made for any of 21 gases by selecting a gas from a drop-down list or calculations can be made for any other gas with user-specified values for its critical temperature, critical pressure, and molecular weight.
