Select chemical and physical variables for 48 observations along a Wyoming ground traverse are compared statistically by use of a correlation program written for the IBM 1401. A comparison of the airborne gamma spectrometry with the ground data is also presented. Highly significant correlations exist between U$sub 3$O$sub 8$ or eU$sub 3$O$sub 8$ and eTh, eK, loss on ignition, and a significant correlation with combined P and V. Magnetic susceptibility has a highly significant correlation with Fe, Mn and negatively with eU$sub 3$O$sub 8$. The negative correlation with uranium offers a possible prospecting method to delineate areas favorable for uranium. (auth)
