By John Aikin and his sister Anna Letitia Barbauld. Printed from the same setting of type as the "Second edition" printed by Thomas Dobson in 1797 (Evans 31698). The Dobson issue is 6 v. in 2, each of the six publisher's volumes having its own title page. In the copy in hand of the Bartram issue, the title leaves to v. 2, 3, and 5 (v. 1, p. [107-108]; v. 1, p. [215-216]; v. 2, p. [109-110]) and Dobson's advertisements have been excised, and the volume number on the title leaf to v. 4 changed from IV to II. The title leaf to v. 6, however, is present, and bears the Dobson, 1797 imprint. Pagination, v. 1: iv, 106, [1], 110-214, [1], 218-330; v. 2: [2], 107, [2], 112-314 p.
