- General Assembly's Resolutions concerning navigation acts passed in 1818 and 1820 by the United Stated Congress. The Assembly protested that these acts limited the agricultural interests of Virginia, while the manufacturing and shipping interests enjoyed an advantage. The resolutions stated that these acts limited British imports and exports to Virginia and Senators from the state should address these injuries in Congress.
