- December 16, 1861 communications from E. Louis Lowe, ex-governor of Maryland to the House of Delegates. Lowe thanked that body for the resolution to occupy one of the seats on the floor of the hall; however the remainder of the letter discussed the tribulations of Maryland and its hopeful future in the Confederacy and need for support from the South to reach that goal.
