Summary
The influence of potassium and sodium on the metabolism of methionine in yeast was studied. Sulfur-35 was added to suspensions of potassium-exhausted yeasts. The effects of sodium and potassium on the uptake of sulfur and the formation of methionine were measured. Data are tabulated and discussed. (C.H.)
