- Summary:
- Several chelates of Cobalt (III) were studied. It was found that great care is necessary in the preparation and purification of the complexes so as to eliminate all traces of cobaltous impurities. The choice of the methods used for the separation of Co/sup 60/, along with Co(II) was guided by the ease of manipulation and the necesduring the process. The enrichment factor is profoundly influenced by the conditions of neutron irradiation, such as gamma flux and temperature. It also depends on the time which elapses between irradiation and the chemical separation and the temperature at which the sample is stored. (auth)
