Summary
The construction of the Megatron, a high-flux density, high-current betatron (150 Mev 1000 A), was continued. Possible methods of shaping pulsed magnetic fields are described and measuring techniques are indicated for application to an air core betatron. A sand loaded epoxy vacuum chamber is described and its use in a highvoltage high-current switch is suggested. (W.D.M.)
