- Summary
- A technique for obtaining scaling laws is presented which contains a new method of approach to non-dimensionalizing equations. This technique is used to obtain the exact scaling laws of forced convection boiling heat transfer as far as can be ascertained frorn present knowledge. By referring to the particular case of burnout under forced convection, arguments are presented which suggest that some of these scaling laws may be relaxed without unduly affecting the accuracy of a model. A possible set of scaling laws is deduced and a method of testing its validity is given. If this set of scaling laws should be found unsatisfactory the subsequent action is indicated. (auth)
