In its broad sense, the supervision applied to uranium refining is not appreciably different from that found in ordinary industry. It should be noted, however, that the main preoccupation will be exceptional purity in the final product, and constant vigilance must be directed toward conforming with the accepted safety standards in such an organization. The various problems at issue and the steps tsken to solve them are discussed. (auth)
