- Summary
- Presented at the Society of Instrument Technology Symposium, London, March 15, 1961. Gas samples are taken from the reactor channels, and the short- lived fission products are electrostatically collected to be analyzed by a phosphor and photomultiplier system. The electrostatic collection and rotating electrode system used with the detector is described. Data processing equipment is designed and adapted to the detection apparatus, in order to make possible measurements of the evolution of the fission-product activity. The systems developed for the G1, G2, G3, EDF1, and EDF2 reactors are compared. (auth)
