Jesse Partridge (1742-1795) settled in Falmouth (now Portland) in Maine where he engaged in trading through the establishment of a general store, lumber mill and a shipping enterprise. This collection of business records, for the period 1770 to 1795, represents the operations of all aspects of Partridge's business interests.
