- Response to a resolution of the Ohio Senate, "Whereas, in a communication published in the Ohio State Journal, of the 9th inst., the Board of Bank Commissioners are charged with 'downright falsehood,' in the statement made in their first annual report, in relation to the liabilities of the directors and officers of the Miami Exporting Company of Cincinnati, and the Western Reserve Bank: Therefore be it 'Resolved by the Senate, That the Board of Bank Commissioners, report to the Senate true copies of the schedules containing the liabilities of the officers and directors of said Miami Exporting Company, and of the Western Reserve Bank, taken at the time of their inspection of said institutions, together with a statement of the manner in which said schedules were furnished to them." (Page 3) The report is addressed to the Senate of Ohio, and is signed by Wm. S. Hatch, Bank Commissioner.
