- Published monthly, Ideal Home Magazine has, since its inception in 1920, featured home interior, renovation & decoration articles, reader homes features & consumer advice. Featuring repeat articles such as The Gardener's Diary, Economy Aids for the Cook, The Ideal Library, Good Housekeeping, How To Do It & How I Did It, Ideal Home also disseminated information on the latest interior trends, home innovations such as electricity & in addition to providing advice on a range of subjects, from home insurance to holiday destinations. Still in print today, Ideal Home will celebrate its centenary in 2020. Taking its name from the first Ideal Home Exhibition held at Olympia, London, Ideal Home acted as key platform for circulating British household & architectural trends throughout the interwar period, merging the Arts & Crafts movement with the Tudor-Bethan style that dominated home design into the 1930s.
