The Mentor and The World Traveler were both separate travel magazines, which merged with each other in June 1930 issue, as mentioned in The Mentor, May 1930 issue. The merger was proposed to 'appeal to the adventurous, open-minded, progressive people of America'. The magazines cover subjects such as transport, sightseeing, culture, history, art and literature.
