Summary

The reaction rate for mu /sup -/-- /sup 3/He -- /sup 3/H -- nu was measured using a high-pressure, /sup 3/He, gas scintillation counter as the target for stopping muons. A value of 1450 plus or minus 75 sec/sup -1/ was obtained, in agreement with other experiments and with the prediction based on the universal Fermi interaction with conserved vector current.
