"The Committee appointed under the resolution of Wm. Walker, to investigate into the amount of notes issued by the city of New Orleans, and by what authority, together with its management, and the management of its trust funds, beg leave to report that, a day or two after the appointing of this Committee from the House, the Senate likewise appointed a similar Committee, and for the same purpose. Your Committee, and the Committee from the Senate, of which Hon. Mr. Duvigneaud was Chairman, have acted jointly throughout the whole of our investigation. Hon. Mr. Duvigneaud acting as Chairman of Joint Committee."--Page [1].
