Wood-engraving of a woman operating a printing press signed: Brightly del. Louderback & Hoffmann sc.
The firm of Beckett & Hawes is listed in the Knoxville directory for 1859, but not in that for 1869 which appears to be the next directory published. The other wood-engraving on the broadside, depicting the American flag and eagle, suggests a pro-Union position before the Civil War.
Printed in red, green, blue, and brown.
