After 1849, the next two years in which March 14th fell on a Saturday were 1857 and 1863. Cockroft does not appear in the Chicago directory for 1857, having removed to Geneva, Ill., at that time. However, he does appear in the 1863 directory. Boynton's lectures are not advertised in Chicago newspapers for March, 1863, suggesting that the advertisement, while stereotyped in Chicago, was intended for distribution elsewhere.
