Two states noted.
In the first state the president's name is printed "Joseph Henry, L.L.D.," the names of twenty-one directors are listed, and the last sentence reads "Any further information will be given by applying (post paid) to the corresponding secretary, to whom all communications on the business of the Institute should be addressed."
In the second state the president's name is printed "Joseph Henry," the names of twenty-two directors are listed (H.N. Easby's name having been added), and the last sentence reads "Any further information will be given by applying (post paid) to the superintendent, to whom all communications on the business of the exhibition should be addressed." Signed: Thomas C. Connolly, superintendent.
