Address to the Republican voters of the Fifth Worcester Representative District [electronic resource] : The undersigned, delegates elected at Republican caucuses in the several towns of Fitchburg, Leominster, Lunenburg, and Westminster, to attend the Republican Representative Convention, held at Fitchburg on the thirty-first day of October last [1867], feel called upon in justice to themselves ... to make a plain statement of the facts attending the action of that convention, and of the course to which they were compelled by the arbitrary and gross assumption of illegal authority on the part of the temporary chairman, chosen at an early stage of the meeting. ... The other sets of delegates, after a hurried and informal transaction of their business, dissolved their meeting, leaving the undersigned in possession of the hall. ...
