- Discussing various acts of the Pennsylvania General Assembly relating to the Franklin Canal Company (established 1844), the Erie Canal Company (established 1842), and the construction of a railroad by the Franklin Canal Company. Apparently prepared to accompany a statement of the Franklin Canal Company addressed to members of the legislature; cf. Franklin Canal Company. To Mr.[blank] We the undersigned president and treasurer of the Franklin Canal Company in view of the great wrong attempted to be perpetrated in the legislature on said company, make the following statement of facts ...
