Calling upon Michie and Stuart "to accept a nomination for the convention from the county of Augusta, which you have not formally done." Includes Michie's and Stuart's replies, addressed to James Bell and others, and their respective addresses to the voters of Augusta, Rockbridge and Highland counties in Virginia.
Stuart's address is dated June 17, 1850.
Followed by proceedings of a public meeting of citizens of Highland county, June 20, 1850, nominating Adam Stephenson, Jr., as a delegate to the constitutional convention to be held in October.
