- "The proposed paper is intended mainly as an advertising sheet, which shall furnish to persons doing business in the several towns along the South Shore a convenient medium of communication with one another and with the people generally. It will advertise town meetings, public addresses, lectures, exhibitions, auctions, fairs, amusements, and all other occasions of public assemblage in any of the South Shore towns. It will publish probate notices and other official documents from the courts of Plymouth and Norfolk Counties ..."
