Possibly printed during the years when Ellen G. White preached to disappointed Millerites concerning the Second Advent. Her published writings include references to the Dark Day as one of three signs fulfilling Biblical prophecy, and it is likely that she also referred to the event when she preached.
The American Antiquarian Society copy is inscribed in a contemporary hand: Rye, N.Y. Betsey Berrey.
