- Summary:
- A summary of results obtained in an investigation of the variables associated with the design and operation of a prototype exchange column for the Recuplex process waste stream is presented. Operating conditions included a temperature of 25 deg C, a flow rate of 3.5 ml/cm/sup 2//min, and a column length of 50 cm. Under these conditions, column volumes processed to 5% breakthrough were 15, 90, and 215 for Permutit SK, Amberlite IRA 401, and Amberlite IRA 400, respectively. (J.R.D.)
