An effective high reliability electric power supply for the NPR Reactor Plant was provided by the use of two separate power sources. The sources are independent and the plant components are isolated from each other. The loads were sized and divided between the two power systems. Each system has the necessary loads to safely shutdown the reactor plant after total failure of the other system and without assistance from the diesel driven last-ditch'' pumps. (auth)
