- Summary
- Cerium can be quantitatively absorbed from HNO/sub 3/ solutions on strong base anion exchange resin columns containing 50 to 200 mg PbO/sub 2/ per ml of resin, and it can be eluted using dilute HNO/sub 3/ or HCl. Distribution coefficients were determined as a function of HNO/sub 3/ molarity for Cel/sup 4+/ Dowex 1-X4 resin. The method was applied to the determination of trace amounts of cerium activity in the Sr/sup 90/ product recovered at Hanford. (D.L.C.)
