- Summary
- The equilibrium distribution of a relativistic gas was treated from the point of view of the kinetic equation. It is proved that in the relativistic case the general solution of the functional Boltzmann equation is the relativistic Maxwell-- Boltzmann distribution. A general form of the gravitational field in which the global relativistic Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution is possible was found. Maxwell-Boltzmann distributlon in the special theory of relativity was investlgated. Some examples were considered: the rotating gas, gas in a stationary gravitational field, and some particular cases of the distribution of gas consisting of particles with zero rest mass. (auth)
