Summary
Investigations have been made on the recovery of nitrates from Mallinckrodt raffinates by liquid-liquid solvent extraction, distillation after acidification with H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/, and thermal decomposition. A thermal decomposition process has been demonstrated for the recovery of 95% of the available nitrates as HNO/sub 3/. (auth)
