Summary
"The select committee of the Senate, and the committee on the ju­diciary of the House, acting jointly under the resolutions of both branches of the Legislature therefor, and to whom were severally referred copies of the memorial of certain European bond holders, of bonds of the State of Michigan, commonly called "Five Million Loan Bonds," have had the same under consideration..." (Page 1). The report includes information from "Holders of that part of the bonds of the State which were formerly pledged by the Bank of the United States against advances made to it by parties in Europe," signed by John Hubbard & Co., and 21 others; C. Stokes, Secretary to the Committee of Michigan Bond-holders; and Morrison, Sons & Co. Others mentioned in documentation are Dennison & Co. (representing the holders of $900,000 of Michigan bonds), the United States Bank of Pennsylvania, Morris Canal and Banking Co. (regarding a fraudulent transfer), Gov. Mason, and Messrs. Dennison, Heywood, Kennard & Co.
