- Summary
- The potential hazards associated with operation of the AGN 211 Nuclear Deactor in the Aerojet-General Nucleonics plant in San Ramon, Contra Costa County, California are evaluated. The characteristics of the reactor, the suitability of the site, operating procedures, emergency plans, administrative control, and experience of the personnel are reviewed. Particular attention is given to the site location in respect to the seismology of the area. The conclusion is reached that, at the design power level of 1 watt this compact reactor is sufficiently safe to justify operation at the described industrial site. (auth)
