- Summary
- The preparation of luminescent derivatives of borazole by a modification of the Groszos and Stafiej method and the usual purification method is described. The fluorescent excitation spectra were determined. The equipment and technique used and the type of graph obtained are described. Experiments made with these compounds in thermal neutron counters, using the compounds in solution, are described. The relative efficiencies found with different gamma backgrounds are given in tabular form. The results show that the use of these derivatives has some advantages over conventional counters for the detection of thermal neutrons. (tr-auth)
