Summary
Electrochemical measurements by the coulostatic galvanostatic single shot method on zirconium submitted to different surface treatments were continued. Etching was not suitable due to formation of a surface film. The results from oxidation experiments were in agreement with the weight gains produced below 260 deg C. Construction and testing of the new in-pile loop for electrochemical measurements was continued. Construction of the out-of-pile alarm and control systems was started. More experiments on the passivation of aluminum were performed out-of-pile. (auth)
