Summary
The effects of externally applied loads upon cylinder-tocylinder junctures in the range d/D from 0.60 to 1.00 were measured. Stresses resulting from a bending couple in the longitudinal plane, a bending couple in the transverse plane, and a thrust along the axis of the branch pipes were measured separately. The effect of internal pressure was studied independently of the effects of external loadings. (auth)
