The plaintiff appealed from a judgment in his favour, claiming that he had not been granted the full amount of his demands. The plaintiff had been awarded expenses for having kept 11 slaves under a writ of sequestration. The defendants were made responsible for the amount claimed but argued but denied liability. The witnesses could not agree with the amount of compensation allowed. The Supreme Court therefore ordered that the judgment appealed from be affirmed.
