- Summary
- The plaintiff sought to compel payment by the defendant for seven slaves sold to him. The defendant attempted to resist some of the payment on account of the redhibitory vices of asthma and dropsey which affected one of the female slaves. The plaintiff won a judgment in his favour in the district court and the defendant appealed. This appeal was unsuccessful as the evidence for the redhibitory vice was not effective. The judge affirmed the decision in favour of the plaintiff.
