- Plaintiff in error seeks to claim a portion of Malcolm M. Henry's estate. In his will, he had bequeathed to her a slave called Juno and stipulated that she should be emancipated after serving Eleanor Erwin for one year. The will also stated that Henry's other two slaves, Adam and Cynthia, should the executor of his estate, Francis Henry (defendant in error) for two and four years respectively and then be emancipated. An inventory of Malcolm M. Henry's estate, including certain household objects, is set out in the will.
