- A case concerning the settlement of the succession of James Cole. The case includes a claim by Sarah Lee, a free woman of colour, to receive payment for a note that the testator gave to her. It was alledged that Sarah Lee was the concubine of the testator, that he had emancipated her and that she had subsequently owned seven slaves.
